Material Density
(g/cm3)
Density is how heavy something is for its size. Density is Mass divided by Volume. It is usually measured in grammes per cubic centimeter. To work out the density of something, divide mass (how much it weighs), by volume (how much space it takes up).
Specific Coil Weight
(kgs/mm)
The specific coil weight is a input variable for the calculation of several coil dimensions. It is an indication of the weight of a 1 mm wide piece of strip in coil. The specific coil weight is independent of the strip thickness and simplifies the calculation of other dimensions such as coil weight or outside diameter. The specific coil weight is expressed as „Kilograms ped millimeter of Width“ (kgs/mm).
